Yossi Amrusi: What I can say from my experience is that the Mossad’s activity in Iran in recent years, and especially leading up to and during the recent rounds of fighting, was astonishing. Mossad personnel, the organization’s employees and operatives, managed to obtain quality, deep and precise intelligence that assisted the air force and the defense establishment in the most impressive way. In certain respects, these are intelligence achievements the likes of which we haven’t seen before.

There were extraordinary achievements here, any lessons to be drawn belong at the level of decision-making, risk assessment and strategic planning, not operational execution.
