Israel Must Keep the Military Option on the Table

Dr. Raphael Ben Levi: There is no nuclear deal that can satisfy both the Trump administration and the Iranian regime. Iran remains the greatest strategic threat to Israel as it continues to advance its nuclear capabilities. While President Trump prefers a diplomatic resolution, Iran is likely to stall negotiations to ease international pressure without making real concessions. Therefore, Israel must maintain a credible military threat, which is the only way to keep the issue a priority on the global agenda. If talks collapse, a military strike — ideally with U.S. backing — will be the only effective way to stop Iran’s pursuit of a nuclear weapon.
