Prof. Kobi Michael explained that Turkey’s military presence in Syria limits Israel’s freedom of action, which ultimately forced Israel to take preemptive military action after diplomatic signaling failed.
He stressed that Israel must work to convince the United States to adopt a more realistic approach toward radical regional actors, while remaining fully prepared to stand and act alone if the Americans are not convinced.
