Served for 38 years in the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including tenures as Israel's Ambassador to Malta, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Ireland. His diplomatic career also includes serving as Consul General in Boston, and Deputy Chief of Mission in both the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. In addition to his overseas posts, he was an instructor at the National Defense College and served as Deputy Policy Advisor to Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. He has held various other senior diplomatic positions throughout his career. He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and is a graduate of the Intelligence Community's Inter-service Course.
