Ruth Wasserman Lande: We do not have a choice when it comes to the long-term reality of running to shelters. This is our country. This is our safe haven. As a mother, I have no choice but to do everything to protect my children. That means eliminating the threat posed by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Iran has clearly and openly declared its intention to destroy my country and all of my people. There are proper plans in place for the complete annihilation of my country—using nuclear power, massive rocket barrages, and by weaponizing proxies throughout the region.
We don’t enjoy running to safe rooms. No one does. It causes stress and fear. But we must take care of ourselves. This isn’t about politics. It doesn’t matter if you’re left or right. This is about the safety of our country and our lives.
